Our Selection Process

You will receive an email confirming your application has been received. Our selection process includes-

  • Shortlisting of candidates. If you are successful in gaining an interview you will be notified by telephone and given the date, time and location of your interview with us
  • Interviewing shortlisted candidates
  • Reference checking preferred candidates
  • Notifying all applicants who have applied for the role

The interview panel (2-3 people) will assess applications based on qualifications and recent and relevant experience, skills and knowledge. The selection of candidates for interview will be based on the information presented in your online application.

The Interview

If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted within approximately two (2) weeks of the closing date. Interviews normally take between 30-60 minutes and you will be asked questions relating to the selection criteria. Make sure you bring with you evidence of relevant qualifications, certificates, licences or cards as outlined in the Role Description.

Reference Checks

A member of the interview panel will contact the referees that you have provided with your application. When you complete the interview, it is recommended that you contact your referees and let them know that they may be contacted shortly.

Pre-employment Assessments

We require our staff to have a Working with Children ochre card and a criminal history check. You will be advised about applying for these checks should your application be successful. During the selection process, where the preferred candidate has resided in an overseas country for 12 months or more in the last ten years, an International criminal history record check is required.

Application Notification

All candidates that are unsuccessful will be advised of the outcome via email upon the  completion of the recruitment campaign.
